Day 281 - Site meeting

Wife and I met builder on site. Was my first time on site for over 4 weeks and things have progressed, although I would have liked it to be a little further on.

Kitchen is proving to be a problem with two major stuff ups discovered. The window to the RHS of the freestanding oven is 150mm out, which will make to oven appear off centre. The framer makes his mark again! Not happy. Builder has agreed to alter cabinetry to make oven centered in the new width between windows now. Was not happy about it though.
The other major stuff up is that we have only just been told that we can't have a 600mm overhang of the stone bench top due to the size of bench. We now have to drop bench width back from 1200mm to 1000mm and the overhang down to 400mm. I still can't understand why this was not picked up until now. So frustrating!

Other than than, dingo has been in cleaning up backyard of all piles of rubble and has spread soil about evenly. Very neat.

Heating and cooling ceiling registers have been fitted off and sparkys have done most of their light/switch cut outs and holes.

Still a lot to do considering contract end date is 4 days away!
