HANDOVER SORTED - 1 year and 1 day!

Day 34 - Slab preparation

Things on the site have slowed somewhat, due to the unseasonal heavy rains we have been experiencing in Melbourne at present. The site was a muddy mess for a while and has only just dried out enough for slab to be prepared, which was done today. It was great to actually see someone working there when we passed by today.

Day 18 to 28 - Works @ the site whilst away

Whilst we were away, my mother-in-law (MIL) kindly took photos for us and suprised us upon our return.
After talking to the builder also, it seems that the site set-out was completed, concrete piers were bored, plumbing trenching and rough-in was done and electrical meter box placed in-situ as well.
Was very impressed to learn that plumber has decided to plumb a separate 90mm storm water drain which connects to 3x silt pits only, which I will be connecting my agi-drains from the retaining wall to.

Day 18 to 28 - On Holidays

We are on holidays on the Sapphire Coast of NSW. Since the weather has been awful, I have decided to join the local Wireless network up here!
Only things to note since we left Victoria is that we have emailed and confirmed a few minor changes with our builder to tiling, plumbing and electrical.
My next door neighbour texted early this morning and said that the diggers were there today, digging trenches for the plumbing I guess.

Day 15 - NBG Signage & Pegging for plumbing?

NBG Sign goes up and pegging of some sort. Not sure what for yet as it's very close to the front, too close for garage setback of 9mt. It looks like the LPOD on the plan. ie legal point of discharge for storm water.

Pegging out for what?

Day 13 - Porta-loo & Crossover Protection

I have been told that we will only have a slab by Christmas, so I guess progress will be slow from now on. We are not in a rush, as I will have over the Christmas break to take my time constructing the 30mt (approx) retaining wall.
Note, the photo of the relocated letterbox. My dodgy repositioning efforts!
