Lighting & Electrical

We have re-submitted an updated electrical plan for build which includes some notable lights worth mentioning. Scroll down further to see wall switch choices.

LIGHTING
We have kept our use of 50w Halogen 12v Downlights to areas which will have minimal ligting use.
We also intend to change the 50w MR16 globes with 35w globes in most of them at a later stage and convert 2 of them to LEDs, by replacing the globe & transformer. (for about $60ea - Jaycar)
Update: I have purchased 2x 12v - 9w LED Gimble downlights from Beacon (30% off) for the area just outside Powder room and the area just outside kids bathroom, so we can leave it on overnight for them.

In some other high use areas, we have chosen T5 Fluorescent oysters (not the most appealing aethetically)
These T5s are bright lights and are very energy efficient and available in both cool and warm light temperatures. The main point to a T5 is that there is no annoying 'start up' & 'warm up' time associated with other fluoro lights.

Bathrooms upstairs will have a Stainless Steel, T5 Fluoro wall light installed above each basin, just above mirror.

I purchased a 360deg Sensor Downlight from Bunnings for $36.50 (includes transformer) It will be installed just inside garage internal access door, so that when a car comes home or someone comes into garage from house, the light will come on. This alleviates the need for me to turn the switch on for 2x Fluoros, which take time to start up. NB A light does illuminate when the garage door opener is activated but this light is so dim, it may as well not be there!

Outdoor lights have not been decided upon yet but installation has been allowed for.
One on either side of Portico Brickwork, 1x double sensor flood in front of triple garage, 1x sensor flood at rear of single garage and 1x flood at rear of Alfresco.
Update: I have been looking extensively and there are bugger all outdoor lights for the brick pillars around. The only ones I seem to see are those Stainless Steel Cylinders that everyone's got! Beacon have 2 which I like, the 'Wright' and the 'Domino'. Just got to convince the wife!
